Drive to improve students’ lives

It may seem obvious, but not all teachers choose to become teachers because they like kids. Some do so despite not really liking kids much, making the job challenging and impacting their effectiveness. It may even impact on children’s well-being.

Think back to your own education – could you tell when a teacher seemed to like children and enjoy being in your company? Or when a teacher seemed not to? What were the signs, and how were they different from simply being cheerful or grumpy?
