Believe that teaching really matters

You may see this quality expressed in different ways – as a “passion for teaching”, as “wanting to make a difference”, or even described as a teaching vocation or as “The X factor”.

However you may think of this element, at its basic, it means the belief that teaching is important to the world and to individuals. This belief seems almost a given for anyone entering the profession, but unless the commitment to that idea is in place, it will be difficult to achieve the qualification and even more difficult to sustain a teaching career.
